PIRKS stands for Positively Influenced Rejoicing Kindred Spirits. I officially registered the name in the State of Arizona in 1997 with the intent to build something really spiritually fantastic around it, but the truth is I haven't done a damn thing with it... YET. I know the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, but at least I know what path I'm on, and I prefer warmer weather anyway.

Navigating your way around a new place can be challenging (not that the Internet is "new" to most of us anymore, but it was when I originally wrote this!) and in the beginning you often don't know where you are. The up side of that is every now and then you find yourself in a cool place despite the fact that you're totally lost. It's been my experience that whenever I'm lost, I end up using the knowledge I gain while wandering around later on, so if I find myself in that place again, I can get back to my preferred path more easily. It's a win/win!
